A Breakthrough Natural Solution for Neutralizing Coffee Acidity and Bitterness
My natural clay (pottery) coffee beans are specifically formulated to gently neutralize coffee acid (which reduces the bitterness) while also infusing healthy trace minerals into each cup of coffee you drink, not only that, they also keep your coffee warmer for longer!

*Neutralizes bitterness
*Infuses trace minerals

How Magic Clay Coffee Beans Work
Each Magic Bean is…
They are made with wild hand gathered clay from various remote and secluded places, high in trace minerals and are naturally alkaline (this is the reason it helps neutralizes your coffee acid). It is then processed using natural ancient methods.
Once the clay is almost finished being processed another natural material is mixed in to keep it from cracking when it dries (this is called a temper).
This magic natural material (Temper) is VERY alkaline and infuses the clay with further alkalinity before it burns away in the firing process (it’s a very self sacrificing material) leaving the coffee beans VERY porous, and very alkaline, which is perfect to allow coffee to seep in and out of the clay bean as you enjoy your cup of coffee.
If you made a clay pottery this way, it would leak, that’s how porous my clay pottery coffee beans are!
During the firing process the clay bean becomes vitrified which means “Glass Like.” The clay bean is the same material as an earthenware pot, it’s just in a different shape. It will never dissolve in coffee after being fired because it’s pottery, and no longer raw clay.
NOTE: My handmade clay DOES NOT contain any sand, chemicals, heavy metals, or pulverized pottery (which common tempers added to store bought clay). It is my own unique natural mixture to maximize alkalinity and porosity.

Hand Gathering the Clay
First off I hand gather clay/dirt from the wild. It contains no heavy metals, is all natural and the same type of clay indigenous people used to make their clay pots and cooking utensils out of. My clay coffee beans sometimes vary in color from the different colors of dirt/clay used.

5 – 10 Days of Drying Time
This is the most painful part of the process because of course I want to see immediately how my creations look and fire them in the kiln. However, trial and error have taught me that patience is a virtue and if that virtue is ignored. I end up with unusable cracked beans.

Hand Processing the Clay
After I have a good amount of dirt/clay I put it all through a very simple, and ancient process to purify the clay and remove all rocks, leaves and organic matter, then get it to the right consistency.

Fired in my Handmade Pottery Kiln
Next I put the beans in my wood fired pottery kiln which I made myself from mud (can you tell I like playing with mud yet?) Once I get the kiln hot enough and the lid on it usually takes another 36 to 48 hours for it to cool down enough for me to touch the beans (natural clay holds heat so well!)

Joyfully Sculpting each Coffee Bean
My (Roxana) favorite part is then sculpting the clay coffee bean. I’ve perfected the bean to fit into most size mugs or teacups. Sometimes I get carried away with my designs, like making coffee bean coasters, coffee bean bowls, and other things… Yes! I do take custom orders if you’d like me to create something just for you. Packed and Shipped out with Love
The beans then get a quick wash and dry once out of the kiln and then get pampered into soft cushioning for the long journey before they arrive safe and sound at their new home, where they excitedly wait to be saturated in their favorite liquids (coffee or tea).
The Size and Shape of Each Magic Clay Coffee Bean

The clay coffee bean’s shape and size vary because each one is handmade and is unique.
However, generally speaking the sizes are below.
Clay Coffee Bean approximate length: 1 3/4″ (4.5 cm).
The FREE coffee bean stir sticks are roughly by 5 1/2″ (13.5 cm) in length.

It just makes sense…
Both reduce bitterness, but…

*Even though I’ve listed each clay coffee bean as good for 300+ cups of coffee, the truth is that as long as your bean is in tact, it will work. So this may go up to 1000’s of cups of coffee.
Where did this idea come from?

When I researched clay pottery and discovered that people in Greece, Mexico, India and many other countries traditionally use clay pots to brew coffee because it naturally neutralizes acidity (which naturally makes coffee sweeter, but with ZERO sugar added) I suddenly thought “How cute would a pottery coffee bean be, that had the same benefits!” And that was the beginning of my journey.

FAQ
Is this food safe? YES, my beans are made from the same type of clay as natural earthenware pots, they’re just different shapes! All my clay is hand gathered from natural sources far away from civilization. Rest assured there are no heavy metals in the natural clay that I gather. A leaflet will be provided with your purchase of how to use, and take care of your pottery coffee beans. They are not suitable for use in solid foods, but only liquids, simply because they are so porous.
How do I clean the clay coffee beans? A quick rinse with water does the trick nicely, however if you want to scrub the coffee off, you can also wash with soap and water. Because the clay coffee beans are so porous, please do not let them soak in soapy water or they may soak in the soap.
Can I put the coffee bean in the microwave? Not recommended. Because the beans are so porous steam can build up in the small pockets and then put too much pressure on the clay bean as it’s heating up which can result in it breaking apart.
Do they have other uses? Yes! The clay coffee can be put into tea or any liquid drink, hot or cold. However it is not suitable for milk, simply because milk is so thick that it can clog the tiny pores of the bean causing it to become less effective the next time it’s used.
If you have decided to put your bean in milk. Please let it steep in hot or boiled water for 5 minutes to dissolve all the milk out of the clay bean pores before simply rinsing and letting it dry.
